Pathway Press is the book publishing division of the Church of God Publishing House, the publishing arm of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee). We are a small publisher, typically accepting less than 20 new titles each year. We receive a great number of proposals and manuscripts and we accept for publication only a few unsolicited titles. Pathway publishes on a royalty basis and does not pay advances on royalties.

             If you wish to submit a book for our consideration, we ask that you send the following:

             1. A cover letter that identifies the book by telling us the proposed title, for whom the book is written, what it is about, what makes it different than similar books already on the market, who would be most likely to purchase it, and your qualifications for writing it. You should also mention if you are making simultaneous submissions to other publishers.

             2. An annotated table of contents, giving the title of each chapter and a brief sentence description of what is in the chapter. Alternatively, you may send the complete manuscript. The material should be computer-generated, double-spaced, printed on one side of the paper.

             3. A sample chapter that will give evaluators an idea of your writing style.

             If you wish the manuscript returned, you should send a check made out to Pathway Press for the amount of postage necessary to return it. Because of the large number of manuscripts received, Pathway will not pay to return manuscripts not accompanied by a check for postage.

            The Book Projects Committee reviews submissions four times a year. This means it is likely that any submission will not be accepted or rejected before a three-month period. Also because of the volume of manuscripts that we received, Pathway editors are unable to comment about manuscripts that are not accepted. Pathway will not accept or respond to manuscripts and proposals sent by fax or e-mail.
